I've raised £1000 to Help fund a wig and baby supplies

On the 10th December 2020 my sister was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. At the Age of 25 and being 26 weeks pregnant with her second child. It was heart breaking news.
On the 22nd January 2021 she goes into hospital for a left breast mastectomy. Once baby number 2 has arrived (safely) she will have the right breast removed. 4 weeks after the first operation she will begin chemotherapy and radiotherapy. In between this treatment Sophie will have a c-section and a couple weeks later will begin again the rounds of chemo and radiotherapy. What should be a time of excitement and joy of motherhood which she experienced with Daisy, has turned into a battle.
With the chemotherapy Sophie will loose her hair. As like with many people it is her crown. People will say it is just hair it will grow back. But loosing it has a huge effect on your mental health. By not having hair when people are looking at you they know you are sick. And especially for someone so young and also being pregnant Sophie would like to avoid the stares of pity and be able to have the shield of protection when out in public. And to be able to look at herself and not see a cancer patient but to have that piece of normality.
But on top of that in the mix of all of what is going on we are having a new addition to our family. Which Sophie needs to get ready for so priorities at the moment are towards the little one. (Quite rightly so) But it would be nice for family and friends to help during this difficult time and maybe together we can achieve some stunning new hair and some supplies for the little one. (A win win situation) As we love them all so much it will be nice to make this tragic time a little easier.
