Story

As many of you know myself and Luke spent our Christmas day 2019 in the hospital with our new baby Olivia (more about our story below). This year we would like to get some money together to buy special gifts for all 42 cots across the leicester hospitals NICU.

Although 1 in 13 babies are born premature it is very hard to get small clothing. We would like to give a special gift of a full clothing set to each cot in Leicester NICU. We will buy a range of colours and sizes to hopefully suit all.

Sainsburys TU clothing have started doing these at £15 each. Each set includes a cardigan, bodysuit, sleepsuit, mittens and hat.

Why we spent last christmas in the hospital...

Unfortunately at 29 weeks pregnant I was suffering badly with preeclampsia and our baby had to be delivered by emergency c section. We were very lucky with Olivia, even though she was only 2lb 3oz when born, she had no major medical issues. We had a few months in hospital ahead of us but we were feeling positive.

Finally after 7 weeks Olivia was home and we could spend our time together as a new family.
