Domestic abuse can happen to anyone and is something that can often be overlooked or excused. No one should live in fear of the person they love and knowing and acknowledging the signs of abuse and seeking support is so important to break the cycle. Atal Y Fro offers such support across the Vale of Glamorgan. Having worked there I can testify how important these services are and how valuable and life changing they are to so many people.

I will be swimming the distance of the English Channel over the course of the summer to raise as much money as possible to buy art and other therapeutic materials for women and children living in the refuge.
