I will be competing in the Outlaw Nottingham Half which is a half IronMan distance triathlon in memory of my dear friend Rosie. Rosie's parents expressed their eagerness for keeping women and girls in team sports, a passion I also share.
I will be raising money for DBA Africa, a charity based in East Africa that aims to provide sporting opportunities to children in Kenya and Uganda. Money raised will specifically go towards their Lacrosse Academy in Kampala, Uganda, where over half of the athletes are girls who are being empowered and given opportunities through sport. Girls who get support with their education, sanitary products and mentorship, through playing lacrosse: many things we take for granted.
