I’m taking on the Lakes Ultra 25km walk from Kendal to Ambleside to raise money for my wonderful residents at Tanglewood Toray Pines Care Home, where I work as a Lifestyles Lead. Supporting people living with dementia is incredibly close to my heart, and I see daily how meaningful engagement, connection, and stimulation can bring comfort, joy, and a sense of identity. I’m hoping to raise funds for a large interactive tablet that can transform the way we deliver activities — from music and games to reminiscence sessions — and, importantly, can be easily moved room to room so everyone can be included, even those who are unable to join group activities. This equipment would make such a difference in reducing isolation and creating special moments for our residents.
