Story

In the words of his mum and dad "Finley touched everyone he met. He continues to inspire us and we have set up a charity in his name to support others going through similar situations."

Finley was cared for in The Royal Alexandra in Brighton and Great Ormond Street in London as he underwent treatment for a rare form of blood cancer, JMML- approximately 25 children are diagnosed each year in the UK. It can be cured with a successful Stem Cell / Bone Marrow Transplant - Finley is thought to be the first child in the world to have received 3 transplants in a year. Finley battled his illness heroically, but despite amazing care, he could not be cured and passed away 6th December 2021 aged 8.

The mission of Finley's Touch is to supply Hospital Survival Bags with all sorts of goodies inside, from honking rubber chickens (Finley's favourite) to decent filter coffee for the grown ups, the bags are aimed to help families through a long admission. As the charity progresses Finley's Touch wants to be able to gift a bag to every UK child who is diagnosed with cancer who is undergoing a long admission, and every child who goes through Stem Cell Transplant at GOSH.

For more information about the wonderful boy Finley and his family please visit Finley's Touch.

So to help raise as much money as possible in Finley's memory we have decided to dress up as rubber chickens in the middle of Summer and drive through Europe! On the way we will be undertaking lots of daily challenges in our ebay banger "Speedy Bob", named by Finley, complete with flames decorated on the wings just like he wanted. For more information on our challenge visit Bust Rally

This is where you come in! If you can, please support us as your donation will really help Finley's Touch make a difference. We know times are tight, if you can't help us to raise money please think about registering as a donor DKMS Donor Registration .

Thank you!
