My name is Sophie Oddy, and i'm Sixteen years old. In July 2017 i will be travelling to South Africa with my school to work with the Goedgedacht trust for one week. The trust aims to alleviate poverty and improve the lives of underprivileged children in the rural parts of South Africa. My aim is to make lifelong friendships and to help alleviate poverty . I aim to raise £1000, the money fund-raised will be used for the cost of the trip and any excess money will be donated to the trust. It is very important that the trust gets as many donations as possible as it allows the trust to expand to its work across South Africa. This means so much to me as it allows me to have an inside look into the lives of the children that are living in poverty, and gives me a chance to essentially "give back" to the community, so any donations would be greatly appreciated.
