Story

My name is Sophie and I have a severe form of a nuerological, complex, multi-systemic disease called Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E)

My disease has left me bedridden permantly for months on end and I have been severely affected for over 2 years since the birth of my son at the age of 19

I have been suffering M.E. since I was just 10 years old

without a suitable wheelchair I am unable to be downstairs, go on days out as a family, lay in the garden in a recliner position to see my 2 year old son play and also get to my hospital appointments without being transported in an ambulence stretcher.

having a suitable wheelchair that can recline will enable me to be able to take part in a tiny portion of my previous life and will also mean I dont have to sit up in my old standard wheelchair as I suffer from Orthostatic Intolerance, which means I am physically unable to remain upright in a sitting position

for a 22 year old living life in bed, this is very difficult and my very severe M.E. means I dont really have a quality of life at all being confined to bed

All funding will go directly to myself to help me buy a wheelchair that will give me some small form of independence (even with my partner pushing me) away from my bed aslong as I am able to reach my target with all your help!

I am aiming to reach my target by September 25th!

Please help make this happen!

I will be extremely appreciative of any donations no matter how small.

if you cannot donate, it would be also appreciated if you could share!

thank you!
