Weʼre raising £1,000 to help cover the fees to attend the World Scout Jamboree as a voluntary member of the International Service Team

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
I'm attending the World Scout Jamboree in 2019 as part of the UK Contingent's delegation of International Service Team. The volunteers give up 2-3 weeks of their annual leave, paying their own camp fees and flights, to provide a once in a lifetime opportunity to Scouts from all over the world. The huge number of activities and services provided just would not be possible without volunteers.
Now, I'm not just going to sit here on my bum and ask you to give me money so I can go to West Virginia (even if there's a real chance I'm paying £2500 to clean toilets for 2 weeks)! I will be hosting a huge amount of fundraising events, such as quizzes and bake sales. Not only that, but as all UK attendees of the World Scout Jamboree are required to participate in a personal development plan, over the next 400 days I will be walking the distance from my flat in Sheffield to Summit Bechtel reserve, the site of the Jamboree. Thats 3777 miles or 6079 kilometers!
So even if you're not inclined to donate towards my "holiday", please sponsor me to walk a horrific amount over the next 57 weeks!
I also have an easyfundraising cause, where a portion of your online purchases is received by me as cashback, and it won't even cost you a penny!
