Our lovely daughter was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour in early February. She has bravely gone through 4 operations including 2 attempts to remove the tumour. Unfortunately, the tumour has grown back and aggressively has not responded to radiotherapy or chemotherapy. The Marsden have suggested an experimental drug regime that requires fast tracking in order to give Sophie a chance

21 April - THANK YOU to everyone for your love and support. We are so very grateful and amazed at the funds raised. No words can express our feelings. We have enjoyed some respite watching the funds grow, and pass our target x4! It has been lovely seeing how far we reached, the comments and contributions from our families in Ireland, Canada, America, France and the UK. Our friends spread around the UK, Europe, the Far East, and our community of neighbours and friends in Hove. We have seen the comments of St Andrew’s school and Church, pupils taught by Mrs Johnstone, both past and present, their parents and teachers of Sophie at both St Andrews and Kings. Sophie has been amazed at the contributions of her friends and the networks that stem from them. Names have come up from colleagues and friends, past and present, people we used to work with and to see and feel that love and support has been truly amazing.

We still have a very tough journey ahead. The treatment drugs are in place and we pray Sophie stays well enough to enable this to proceed. All funds raised will go towards Sophie’s care and treatment and if we have any surplus we will give to the amazing Doctors and Nurses who have supported and treated Sophie at the Royal Sussex Children’s Hospital and the Royal Marsden.
