Story

Amber Young, a lovely girl and close friend, who would do anything for anybody, no matter how big or small, was honoured to find out she was pregnant with her first child. She was over the moon, and a gender reveal announced out she was going to have her own little princess, Sophie Louise Young.

The pregnancy could not have been better. Every hospital appointment was a success. Up until the 37th week of the pregnancy everything was great, a healthy, strong little girl. However, Amber was experiencing reduced movements from baby Sophie. After all movement had stopped, Amber went into the hospital where she was placed on the monitor. With many attempts, the midwife could not find a heartbeat. Following on from this, Amber was then examined by two doctors who unfortunately confirmed the heartbreaking news that baby Sophie Young had died. After being induced, Amber gave birth naturally to Sophie on Monday 2nd April at 12:42pm, weighing a total of 6lbs 14oz. Fortunately, Amber and her family were able to spend a few days with Sophie in Oldham Hospitals' Butterfly Suite, which they will be eternally grateful for. This allowed this young mother to 'bond' and experience the life she had created without restrictions.

Regrettably, to this day the cause of Sophie's death still remains unknown. Amber has been extremely brave and as selfless as ever throughout this whole process, asking for nothing but to be with her only child. This loss has impacted on Amber tremendously, although she is putting on a brave face, deep down she is struggling.

If you could take a moment to make a donation, no matter how small or big, anything you can spare. I am aware that no comments, gestures or money will ever fill the hole in Amber's heart for Sophie, but what I know is that this incredibly brave young deserves the world. However, without lack of trying, this is something I cannot do, but something, anything that she can purchase as a sentiment or even to escape for a little while would do her the world of good.

Amber has such a huge and great support system behind her, and with help from donations, maybe she can finally start her healing process.

I would like to thank you for taking you time to read this. I know it may be hard to hear, and I am, just as well as Amber and her family are, eternally grateful for anything you can donate, especially your time. R.I.P Sophie Louise Young

Many thanks, Ryan.
