Story

On the 7th February 2015 I was blessed with my beautiful daughter, Soraya, she was eager to get out into the world & arrived 3wks early, & took only 2 hours to birth! Over the next few months I had an underlying feeling that my baby was struggling with something, she was very unsettled, she didn't like to leave the house, she didn't like to be put down, she didn't sleep. I took her to the Drs several times, & was told it was colic. At 4 months old I took her to the hospital & they noticed she was behind on her milestones, so they gave her a CT scan. It was then that my whole world fell apart. I was told that my beautiful daughter had part of her brain missing, that she "would never be a normal little girl". It was soul destroying. I cannot put into words how it felt.

2 years down the line & my daughter, despite doing all the physio, & activities we can, & taking all of the advice given by the Drs, is still at the stage of a newborn. She is having close to 100 seizures per day.

However I will not give up on her, I believe she can progress with the right support, & the NHS is so limited with their services.

Through my research I came across the Anat Baniel Method, & after reading the book, watching hours of videos, & attending a conference, where we got to experience how this method works, I truly believe this can help my daughter.

This is where I need your help, it will be an intensive therapy, & so my usual approach of saving/spreading the cost is not an option, as many of you know I had to give up work as Soraya requires 24hr care. I will obviously be putting everything I have into this. However I will fall short on my own, so I would be so thankful for any help you can offer. I will also be trying to fundraise in conjunction with this if anyone would like to be involved then that would also be a great help.

Thank you for reading Soraya's story and thank you for your support.
