Story

For the past 10 years i have been teaching and supporting an amazing and diverse group of young people of varied learning difficulty and disability. With constant budget cuts and loss of funded projects for all young people, it falls on the private sector to provide these opportunities.

It is especially expensive to run services for young people with learning difficulty and disability, with the need for specialist trained staff that can cater to the requirements of a young person with epilepsy/autism/global delay and that's just to name a few.

You need a specially trained team to support not only their physical disability but also their emotional wellbeing and understanding.

These services are hard to come by and can be particularly damaging to to the pocket of the parent or carer.

We have been running these services for over 5 years unfortunately the financial stability in this current economic climate has not allowed local providers sustainable funding to continue and as a result, forcing us to make this self sufficient. At a costly price.

This amount allows us to run for a full academic year, at a massively discounted rate to our parents/carers and young people. This will allow us to continue giving our young people a platform to conitnue to develop and grow in a nurturing and inclusive setting.
