We’ve created this fund raiser for Tyler Couzens.

This weekend playing for his team, Southbourne Football Club, had his leg broken and ankle dislocated by a careless, thoughtless and reckless act from the opposition in what should have been a friendly pre-season game.

Tyler’s younger brother, Fin, has played for the Club for a few years. Tyler has been waiting for the team to progress into men’s football to join the squad and play with his brother. A vision their dad, Andy, has been looking forward to for a long time. The Couzens are a footballing family where even the lads’ Nan attend every game over the years being their no.1 fans, seeing the brothers play along side each other was a dream.

A dream not only for the family but for SFC management; signing the Couzens brothers made the squad unstoppable. This dream has been shattered for the lads (17 & 18 years old), the family and Southbourne FC have lost their invaluable vice captain Ty.

Not to mention the pain and agony Ty experienced and the trauma his younger brother and team mates witnessed on game day.

Tyler spent a night in hospital and has to undergo surgery to correct the break, his season is ruined before it began and will have months off work.

Tyler and his family are well known and liked within the community and you couldn’t meet a more loyal, dedicated baller.

As a Club we want to do everything we can to show our support to Tyler, our number 11!

Let’s get behind this young lad and show him how much his community care; local community and footballing community.

Every donation helps and all adds up to not only helping Ty financially while he can’t work but showing him we’re thinking of him and wishing him well!

Southbourne Football Club are having a charity match 23/8 2pm KO all proceeds from beverage sales, referee fee, subs from both sides will be added to this fund raiser for Ty.
