Story

On the 18th of June, Jack will be cycling 100 miles in the saddle to raise money for a saddle! If 100 miles across the Brecon Beacons doesn‘t sound hard enough for you, there is 2396 meters of elevation gain on the course - the equivalent of cycling up mount snowdon 2.5 times!! OR to put it in a familar perspective - cycling up our Butser Hill 20 times.

South Downs Equine Therapy provides therapeutic riding for children and young people. We have been trialling an inky dinky saddle to help some of our clients and would like to try and raise the funds to buy our own. This type of saddle fits all sizes of equine and has built in support which helps some of our disabled riders, our smaller riders and our younger or less confident riders.

Our company favourite and all round super star therapy pony ‘Nahla’, is so popular with almost every visitor we have to the stables that her saddle is starting to wear and needs some repair or to be replaced.

It would be wonderful if we could raise enough money to get an inky dinky saddle and any money raised over the £350 target would go towards Nahla‘s saddle.
