I've raised £10000 to help provide essential health and medical care to those in need around the world in memory of Dr Saad Al-Dujaily.

About Dr Saad Al-Dujaily and his family:
Dr Saad Al-Dujaily was a well respected doctor and an amazing man who tragically lost his life on the 2nd February 2021 to Covid-19. Dr Saad Al-Dujaily was extremely dedicated to his job, always treating patients with amazing care and diligence as well as always having a smile on his face and acting with the purest of intentions, he will be dearly missed both in the medical community and to all of those that knew him. He lived with his amazing wife and son, Bilal, who echo his personality and loveable characteristics and we want to support them as well as much as possible in this time.
What are we doing?:
Myself and friend, Arunan Sivabalan, have decided that we would like to do something in memory to this amazing man. We will be running the Tough Mudder course in July acting as a fundraising opportunity to raise money for essential services in Essex to those that need it the most in healthcare environments in memory of Dr Saad Al-Dujaily and for his family.
About the runners:
Ramis - Me and Bilal have been friends since year 7, a total of 8 years and in that time he has always been my right hand man. He has been there for me in the darkest of times and at the best of times. I have had the pleasure to meet Dr Saad Al-Dujaily on multiple occasions and he has always welcomed me with open arms. Most recently, he helped me whilst I was in hospital last August when he didn't have to at all. He acted with pure compassion and love, he is truly a great man with an equally fantastic son who I owe so much to and love dearly.
Arunan - A lot of us have found the current climate to have been the most difficult time we have experienced however a few people close to me have had to endure the struggles a lot worse than myself, affecting their families to a point I can't even begin to comprehend. I've seen the mental strain it has put on my friends as they constantly worry about their parents health. I hope the donations to hospitals and charities can make a difference and improve the chances for these people to be with their families in these difficult times. Bilal has been a close friend of mine since year 7, he has always put others before himself and it is a massive testament to his character and his ability to always be there for people in dark times. It is only right that we try and repay this favour and support him as best we can.
Charities and Hospitals:
The money raised will go to various hospitals, specifically Southend and Basildon hospital so that the wonderful NHS staff can continue to look after people in this difficult time and save the lives of many.
The money raised will also go to specific Covid-19 related charities to try as best we can to stop the pain caused by this awful illness.
Any donations are very much appreciated.
In memory of Dr Saad Al-Dujaily - Doctor, Father, Husband and brilliant man.
