The team will travel up overnight on Thursday 24th Oct, enjoying a day in Scotland before the challenge starts at 07:00 on Saturday 26th Oct, with the aim of finishing by 07:00 the following morning.
Weekly training has been ongoing since May 2024 to ensure the team are fit and capable of completing the challenge.
6 network members will be accompanied by two leaders, as well as 2 support vehicles/teams, who will be following their progress, making sure they are fed/watered and get plenty of rest whilst driving between mountains.
Thanks to John Bearman, as well as Cath & Stuart Austin for their support throughout this challenge.
Those taking part would like your kind donations to be split between MS Society and the Southend Synergy Scout Network. The majority of funds raised will be going to MS Society, with a very small percentage remaining with the Network, helping to fund much needed equipment etc. All funds will be received into the Southend Synergy Scout Network bank account and then a sizeable donation will be made to MS Society.
Thank you very much for your support and donation.
