SPECCY HONEYMOON FUND - THE CHEEK ! THE IMPUDENCE!

This feels like a bit of an alien and cheeky thing to do, and we really don't want to be 'those guys' (i.e. white, privileged, asking for handouts to go off- grid) but three different goodly people who aren't even joining us for our wedding have asked us today how they might offer us wedding gifts (how lovely is that?), and a friend suggested that it's probably a wise and practical thing to create a space that allows for this amazing sense of generosity to happen.

We do this with a strong caveat of immense gratitude and absolutely no 'should' attached.

In terms of material possessions we really don't need any more 'stuff'. We live modestly and happily in our Whitley Bay home. We volunteer to save the local seal population, recycle often and always pick up dog poop whenever we see it (maybe). We're not entitled a**holes, but we also don't have much by the way of disposable income.

SO, what we'd really love is to go somewhere hot in January 2018 to celebrate our wedding in one of those big splashy 'once in a lifetime' trips. We're getting married on 9th September 2017 but are waiting until January '18 for The Big Trip because this is often the month when the weather goes to kaka in the UK and the blues tend to sink in (Beccy has Bipolar/disregulation disorder)

If you know/vaguely like us and wish for us to experience some Vit D and a wee slice of paradise (we have our eye on a place called Holbox Island off Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula...but we shall see!) then you could, if you felt inclined, throw a little cash our way and help us to get there.
