Story

Specsavers Home Visits Gwent are turning 10 years old!

During that time thousands of housebound members of our community have received domiciliary eye care from our wonderful team.

As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we are more determined than ever to continue to ensure that even the most vulnerable members of our community have equal access to and receive the exceptional the eye care and support they need and deserve.

To mark our 10th anniversary we have decided to take part in a new challenge:

This month, on October 19th 2024, we will embark on a 10k sponsored walk in aid of a Pembrokeshire based charity: The Pembrokeshire Young Onset Dementia Group.

The effects of young onset Dementia are to be seen in the home visits we make daily. This charity is also particularly close to the hearts of two of our team members whose fathers are both supported by this charity. The group not only provides endless support to families, it also runs a vital day centre service which enables carers to have a few hours respite whilst their loved ones are cared for and mix with other people in similar situations.

We hope that you can give generously so that the lives of those with young onset Dementia can be lived to their fullest.
