If a man runs a 29 mins 10k or a woman runs 32 mins, they deserve to get a decent pay cheque for all the hours of training, hard work and determination they put in.

I would love to have a millionaire sponsor offering loads of money, but chances of that happening are slim to zero. With a reduced field size due to covid restrictions (less income), and increased costs, this reduces the amount available to give away in prizes.

So what better way to help the athletes out than open it up to the real fans and fellow runners who know what it takes to get to the top?

All of the money donated will go into the pot to be distributed between the Speedway 10k prize winners - hopefully a combination of larger prizes and greater depth.
