I've raised £500 to help me fund a charity trip to Romania, bringing hope to lives of children & families with special needs & learning difficulties. Thank you

I am setting up this Just Giving page as I am raising money to go on a school trip to Romania, but this is not and ordinary school trip. There is a charity called ‘Cry in the Dark’ who innovate projects to bring hope and change to the lives of children and families in Romania. We, as a class, will be spending time with children and adults with special needs and learning difficulties. It would mean so much to those in Romania as they are frowned upon, they have been neglected by family and to them, this would mean the world. We will be visiting a nearby village to help construct pathways & roads to make a more safe environment; these locals do not have the tools or money to do so. I would really like to go on the trip, it will be extremely life changing; seeing how fortunate I am and how much I take for granted. I would love to be the reason why someone is smiling at the end of the day.
What I am doing to raise the money is doing the ‘Three Peaks’ based in Yorkshire. The route is 24 miles (38.6Km), and includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent. I will be attempt to do all three mountains in under 12 hours. I will be doing this on the 12th of May 2018 and if the weather is too dangerous I will be doing it a week later. I will be doing the Three Peaks with my Dad who has helped me massively with raising money.
I will be going to Romania on the 1st of June 2018, for a week. For the trip I need to raise £900 but that is split with the parents and the child! So I have to raise £450 to make sure I can go to Romania, there is also an additional £100 that I must raised for jabs. Thank you for taking your time to visit this page and any donations no matter how large or small, would be an enormous help and hugely appreciated.
Cry in the Dark was established by Steve Cooper after he visited a Romanian orphanage. Steve was moved to build the children, many of whom have physical and mental disabilities, a better home. Today Casa Lumina is, as its name suggests, a true House of Light to the young people. It provides them with food, shelter and education and they love receiving visitors. The charity has also built a hospice for children and young people in Romania and they regularly visit and support a Roma village where people live in true third world poverty. Each year, Manor students and staff go to Romania for two weeks to support the work of Cry in the Dark. Everyone who goes, staff and students alike, find it a life-changing experience.
