Story

I was first inspired to develop the SpinCycle after washing several loads of laundry by hand while visiting an orphanage in Burundi, Africa in 2010. I designed a bicycle powered washing machine to be used as a micro enterprise laundry service, in countries where they have limited access to electricity and currently do all their washing by hand. The devise is designed to be attached on to the back of a bicycle to be transported from house to house in order to provide a personal laundry service. In 2012 I returned to Burundi with a working prototype to prove the concept and set up the first SpinCycle laundry service. We filmed a documentary style video which recently went viral. The SpinCycle Story. I now have several organisations interested in manufacturing the devise in factories around the world. I've developed a technical guide to help people understand how to manufacture the devise and I now need to build a new prototype to ensure the guide is accurate and so I have a SpinCycle to demonstrate how it all works. Any donations towards would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Richard
