Help us create more opportunities for our young performers! 💚

Our Spirix Youth Dance Company and Spirix Youth Theatre are fundraising to give our young people more opportunities to perform, develop their skills and experience the wider world of dance and theatre.

At Spirix, we believe every young person should have the chance to be part of a youth performing arts company, regardless of their background, ability, experience or financial circumstances.

Our companies are non-selective. There are no auditions or expectations that young people must already be talented or experienced performers to join. What matters is their enthusiasm, commitment and willingness to get involved.

We know that being part of a youth company offers so much more than learning choreography or putting on a show. It's about:

💚 Building confidence and self-belief through trying new things, overcoming challenges and recognising their own progress.

💚 Developing friendships and a sense of belonging by being part of a supportive team where everyone has a place and something to contribute.

💚 Building important life skills including teamwork, communication, resilience, independence and responsibility.

💚 Having a voice and being creative through opportunities to contribute ideas, make decisions and help shape the work they perform.

💚 Accessing opportunities they might not otherwise have to experience professional performances, work with artists, visit new places and discover future pathways in the arts.

We have high aspirations for every young person who joins us, but we don't believe opportunities should be reserved for those who can afford expensive training or succeed in auditions. Our approach is inclusive, supportive and focused on helping every individual reach their potential.

And we want these experiences to go beyond our studio doors!

This year, we're hoping to take our companies to events including Super Weekender and Making Moves, alongside theatre visits, workshops, performances and other creative opportunities.

For our young people, these experiences are about much more than performing on a new stage. They're a chance to meet other young performers, see what's possible within the arts, grow in independence and build memories that will stay with them.

We're fundraising to make sure everyone can be part of it.

Travel, tickets, entry fees, costumes and additional rehearsals all come at a cost. We want to keep these opportunities affordable and make sure no young person misses out because of their family's financial circumstances.

Every donation, however small, will help us break down these barriers and give our young performers more opportunities to learn, grow and thrive.
