Story
Ten years ago I was part of a small team who began a church in Bamber Bridge, Preston, with the vision to create a home to empower a new generation, a home that loves and empowers the community. Since then Valley Church has grown and flourished, with services in Preston, Blackpool, Lancaster, and now a Connect Group in the North East.
Valley Church is constantly looking for new and exciting ways to impact our communities, and help them become all that they can be. In Preston this means building a brand new community cafe.
This 120 seat café will cost approx £250,000 to build and furnish. We are already well on the way to financing the build, but there is still more to go. We are looking to raise a further £120,000 this year.
I have chosen to sponsor a seat in this new cafe, pledging to raise £1000. I have a few ideas about how to do this, including hosting pay-as-you-feel supper clubs which I will advertise via Facebook. If there is anything you would sponsor me to do as I aim to raise this pledge let me know, if I can do it I'll give it a go! Alternatively, just give because it is a brilliant cause and giving makes you feel good about yourself!
