I've raised £400 to help cover part of the cost of the climb.

Aiden and I are taking on Mount Triglav. At 2,863.65 metres (9,395.2 ft), is the highest mountain in Slovenia and the highest peak of the Julian Alps.
We wanted to do something highly symbolic, very challenging. This is a first for both of us!
For me undertaking this, when just over a year ago, I was partially paralysed and considering that I still suffer from radiotherapy induced fatigue is definitely challenging- in spirit similar to the challenge I set myself of overcoming post surgery hemiparesis and walking in heels in 12 weeks. For Aiden, who is now 12, it is a challenge, but he is so optimistic, he blows my mind with his enthusiasm and drive.
But it is also very important to us to do this safely and maximise our chances of success. So we need professionals around us.
That means that we will undertake the climb with a highly experienced local mountaineering guide. We will work with a local team of adventurers in the preceding days to prepare for the climb. We will be renting equipment like ice axes and crampons and we will need to purchase some of the equipment.
Thank you if you decide to sponsor us: this will help us cover a part of the overall cost of this amazing undertaking (frightening and exciting in equal measure).
