Story
A few lovely individuals have asked if they can sponsor Assistance Puppy Luna’s training, and so I have set up this page to allow those who wish to support us to donate towards her training and care.
Luna is training to support me with multiple disabilities as a Guide, Disability Assistance and Medical Alert Dog. I will be training Luna independently and am hoping for her to qualify with the Assistance Dog Assessment Association (ADAA) when she is ready. She will be a successor to my current working dog, Rowley, who will become my pet dog when he retires.
The initial cost of purchasing Luna from our chosen breeder was £1,500. We chose this breeder as both parents are fully health tested and previous litters have produced successful Assistance Dogs. There are never any guarantees, but I wanted to give myself the best chance at success and so she was worth every penny!
Those who kindly sponsor Luna’s training will help me to cover the ongoing costs of her training and care to include: vaccinations and veterinary care, insurance, food, training treats and natural chews, toys, blankets/beds, food and water bowls, enrichment items, health supplements, flea, tick and worm prevention, collar and tags, leash, harness, settle mat, assistance puppy lead slip and bandanna, puppy socialisation classes, training jacket - and one day (hopefully) a qualified jacket, guide dog harness, and the ADAA assessment fee.
*Please note: Any sponsorship towards Luna’s training is gratefully received, but she and Rowley will never go without. I will always ensure that their needs are met regardless of sponsorship numbers.
Thank you all for your kind support and generosity. - Megan (Life With Superdogs)
