Our Story

Sometimes, the difference between life and death comes down to being prepared.

In April, 13 Under 11 Spartans players, alongside 15 of their parents and siblings, will be taking on the Spring Wolf Run — not just as a physical challenge, but with a shared purpose: to help save lives and protect our football family.

We are incredibly proud to be raising funds for the Our Jay Foundation and the Spartans Under 11’s team.

Our Jay Foundation

The Our Jay Foundation was created in loving memory of Jamie Rees, who tragically lost his life to a cardiac arrest at just 18 years old in January 2022. His family’s determination to prevent other families from experiencing the same heartbreak has led to defibrillators being installed across communities — devices that truly save lives.

If a defibrillator is available within the first 8 minutes of a cardiac arrest, survival rates can increase by up to 70%. That knowledge alone shows how vital this work is.

Spartans Under 11’s Team

The Spartan's Team is a place where children grow in confidence, form friendships, learn teamwork, and feel part of something bigger than themselves.

As parents and coaches, the safety of our children is paramount. Grassroots football relies heavily on volunteers and fundraising, and we are committed to doing everything we can to provide a safe, supportive environment where our players can thrive.

Why We Are Fundraising?

Our main goal is to raise enough money to purchase a portable defibrillator that will travel with the team to every match, home and away. In an emergency, it could save the life of a player, a supporter, a coach — or anyone nearby who needs it.

Any additional funds raised will go towards essential training equipment and kit, ensuring the team can continue to play, develop, and represent their club with pride.
