    Story

Spread Ur Wings Foundation is a non profitable organisation, working with young people from 11-16 years. Our aim is to improve the quality of life and support the development of growth through various workshops. Some of these workshops include street dancing, food & nutrition, creative writing, spoken words, drama, singing, photography, gardening. We aim to start maths, English and science lessons to help teenagers who need the extra help in these areas. We also target more vulnerable and complex areas including bullying, drugs, knife crime and dangers of social media.

The reason we have set up this crowdfunding page is because we need help with funding so that we can sustain these workshops by paying our overheads, including rent which at the moment we have been given the accommodation for free as a incentive but this is only for a short period of time. The young people have been provided with breakfast and lunches and all workshops are free. So far parents have only had to contribute towards outings.

Our young people at present are practicing for a performance scheduled for November where they will be acting, singing and street dancing and rapping. The fundraising will also help with the event management.

Our young people have also been involved with their own fundraising event Car Washing and also arranging a pamper day. The young people are also very passionate about the workshops, with the older ones looking forward to the scheduled career advise and work experience.
Having been asked about why they enjoy coming to the workshops, there responses have been because it keeps us off the streets, online gaming and social media. They also feel that with the outdoor activities like sports helps with keeping fit and gives them regular exercise.
We have a responsibility as parents, careers, teachers, community leaders, pastors and businesses to encourage our young people to excel in the areas that they are good at and encourage in areas that they are not.
