Spye Park CC is a proper old fashioned village Cricket Club blessed with one of the most beautiful grounds in the County of Wiltshire. The Cricket Club has been around since 1882 and over the years has been the venue for some excellent cricket, as well as an eclectic mix of characters and supports. However, we find ourselves needing to ask for help. Funds are low and player numbers are down but we are committed to the long term success of our Cricket Club and have already secured some new members for 2018. We’ve decided to do something positive about securing our future. It’s not the first time the club has struggled and it won’t be the last but it’s up to us to do something about it.

During the course of 2018 we will endeavour to raise some much needed funds, the first significant event will be a sponsored bike ride from Lords (the home of cricket) to Spye Park CC (the field of dreams) – details of this event are being drawn up right now. The idea is that the money will go towards a new roller for the Cricket Club with whatever might be left over going into the coffers to pay for new kit and equipment.

SPONSORED BIKE RIDE

In order to help reach our target we will be embarking on a few fundraising initiatives including a sponsored bike ride from Lord's to Spye on Friday 13th April arriving at back at Spye Park CC on Saturday 14th April.
