Update: Sadly, we received the news that Sumner passed away over the weekend. We have decided to still continue with the event and the funds raised will be given to the Brain Tumour Charity.

10-year-old squash player, Sumner Malik, was diagnosed with DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Giloma). DIPG is a type of high grade brain tumour which can lead to many serious neurological problems. There are only 40 cases of DIPG diagnosed each year in the UK. Sadly, every single one has ended in a tragedy.

There is still potential with doctors from certain parts of the world offering cutting edge treatment. However, the treatment is extremely costly.

The Malik family are raising funds to access this immunotherapy treatment in Germany to aid Sumner in fighting off the cancer.

Four of us (Dominic Long, Dan Boshoff, Dominic Major and Sam Cleaver) will be participating in a squash marathon on the 26th August, during which we will attempt to play squash for 12 hours straight.

We hope that this will encourage you to help sponsor us and raise funds so that Sumner Malik can begin treatment as soon as possible.
