Story
Reading is the tool that can help every child learn, travel and become the brilliant people of the future that we know that they can all be. Here, at St Anne Line Catholic Junior School, Basildon, our children love to read, share books and develop their ideas into their work and play. However, our school library is in desperate need of books to inspire our new generations of learners, explorers, scientist, etc. so that not only do they develop their love of learning but their love of reading too. Our shelves are bear at times and some of the books that we have are well beyond their sell by date.
Some of the children in our school community do not have books to share of their own, and to have a library filled with inspiring books will led them to develop a love of learning and growth in their reading abilities. Not only this children who develop a love of reading and writing are three times more likely to have better mental wellbeing.
Please spread the word and donate (if not in money then donate an appropriate children's book to the school) so that we can encourage, develop and grow the love of reading for the children of our school community and their futures in the world.
