I've raised £500 to help maintain and replace the fencing in St. Peter’s Churchyard in Gamston. The Church May have closed, but the Churchyard remains open.

Gamston Churchyard - A Plea for Help

Since losing our grant funding the Parochial Church Council (PCC) in Eaton and Gamston have been fortunte to have received practical and financial help and support to care for and maintenance of our two Churchyards.

This has meant that the grass is cut and trees are being care for, ensuring village residents and visitors can spend time alongside the graves of family members in a tidy and cared for Churchyard.

Unfortunately the boundary fence alongside Church Lane adjacent the open part of the Churchyard has seen better days and we are using some of money previously donated to replace this. However, we are a little short and hence this refreshed plea for donations.

If you can help…give a little.

Take a look at our village page for more details, contacts and updates.

We need to thank Andy Bicknell for providing the equipment to dig the holes in preparation for the new posts and Russ and Andrew for the practical help.

We are planning to complete the work of putting the new fence up on Monday 8th May as part of the Kings Corontion “Big Help Out”. If you are able to help on the day we look forwrd to welcoming from 9am onwards.

If you are able to help us in either way we say a huge thank you!
