Help Magor RFC Mini, Juniors & Maidens Get a Home for Their Equipment!
Three challenging walks. Two determined coaches. One very important goal.
We’re raising money to provide a steel storage container for Magor RFC’s Mini, Junior and Maiden sections — and we need your help!
Our Mini and Junior sections have recently been established, while our Maiden section has been proudly re-established, continuing a long and important history within the club.
Our Mini, Junior and Maiden sections are growing, our players are thriving, and every week more people are coming together to enjoy rugby, build friendships and be part of the Magor RFC family.
But behind the scenes, there’s a problem…
We have nowhere to store our equipment.
At the moment, rugby balls, tackle equipment, training kit and other essential equipment are spread between volunteers’ and coaches’ homes, garages and vehicles.
Every single week, our amazing volunteers spend valuable time loading everything up, transporting it to Sycamore Playing Fields for training, and then taking it all home again afterwards.
A storage container would make an enormous difference.
It would mean our coaches and volunteers could spend less time moving equipment around and more time doing what they love — helping our players learn, develop and enjoy their rugby.
So, two coaches are taking on the challenge!
Stabby and Coxy, have decided that if we’re going to ask people to support us, they should be prepared to put some hard work in themselves!
They’re taking on three challenging walks to raise money for the storage container.
🥾 Walk 1 – 27th September - The 1st anniversary of our Mini & Junior section!
They’ll set off from Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, walking 25 miles overnight before finishing at Mini & Junior training on Sunday morning.
🥾 Walk 2 – Cardiff Arms Park to Sycamore Playing Fields
They’ll retrace the journey from Cardiff Arms Park, the place where our Mini & Junior sections played their very first game, all the way back to their current home at Sycamore Playing Fields.
🥾 Walk 3 – The Dragons Back Loop
And if two walks weren’t enough, they’ll take on the Dragons Back loop — carrying a tackle cylinder with them!
Because apparently walking isn't difficult enough without carrying rugby equipment too! 😂
Every donation makes a difference ❤️
We know times are tough, and there is absolutely no pressure to donate.
But if you can spare £5, £10, £20 or whatever you can afford, it will help us get closer to giving our Mini, Junior and Maiden sections a secure place to store their equipment.
And if you can’t donate, sharing this page is just as valuable. You never know who might see it and want to support grassroots rugby in our community.
