What is Duchenne muscular dystrophy?
Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a genetic disorder characterized by progressive muscle degeneration and weakness. It is one of nine types of muscular dystrophy.

DMD is caused by an absence of dystrophin, a protein that helps keep muscle cells intact. Symptom onset is in early childhood, usually between ages 3 and 5. The disease primarily affects boys, but in rare cases it can affect girls.

What are the symptoms of DMD?
Muscle weakness can begin as early as age 3, first affecting the muscles of the hips, pelvic area, thighs and shoulders, and later the skeletal (voluntary) muscles in the arms, legs and trunk. The calves often are enlarged. By the early teens, the heart and respiratory muscles also are affected.

Logans mum only has a small car and has been trying her best to get a mini bus so she can take logan and all her other kids for a day out so they can spend quality time together before logans condition worsens ....
Logan likes batman and his xbox and spends most his days in the bedroom or sat on settee watching t.v or YouTube his mum tries her best to take him out in car but by the time mum has put wheelchair in and Logan there's no room for the other kids to fit in car.
Logan loves spending time with his family and his only Friends he has is his family . All his brothers and sister love him dearly and he always has a smile to show each time you see him .

I am his auntie stacy and it would be my absolute dream to see this young man get everything he wants out of life with his family at side of him and to see his dreams come true . Once we have raised the money we are going to get a wheelchair based mini bus for him and his family to have a full day out together in blackpool also to go sea life centre and to have his tea there I would be very grateful if you could help keep Thankyou
