Lets hit it right in the core of why I need your help. I was abused as a child, untill I was 16. It turned my life upside down and it ruined my family. It changed the relationships I had with the men in my family which was always very strained and there was more anger in me than you could imagine in a young woman of 16! I thought at one point I was going crazy and I was a horrible dirty person because of what had happened. I was put through things that no child, teenager or any human for that matter should have been exposed to. At the age of 24 I gave birth to my Daughter. I needed to protect her. something like 80% of women never report thier abusers. They get off scott free while our lives are turned upside down, and left with severe trauma and mental heath problems. Im one of those people. I have suffered for years with mental health problems. so I walked down to the Police station one day, and I told them I want to report a sexual abuse crime against me.

That particular section of my healing is over. I have learnt how to cope and deal with my personal thoughts and feeling and and how a long process of healing and recovering has made me the mother of 3 I am today. In some ways I feel i was one on the lucky ones. I am the one in 4 of survivors of childhood sexual abuse. - there you go - I said it.

I joined the family of Younique on the 18th of September 2017. I joined purely for the ethos of the company which is to validate, uplift and empower Women though support and the selling of the products. My love and passion for the oroducts came after . I have made three promotions and sponsored another five women since joinng. When I first Joined my Sponsor Charlotte told me about the Haven Retreat. I had never been to a retreat before to help with the process of healing. This is what their aim is

'The four-day retreat focuses on activities that increase the likelihood of healing from the trauma of childhood sexual abuse. While many activities are in a group setting (8-12 women) with other adult female survivors of childhood sexual abuse, participants also have personal time to reflect and rejuvenate'

I feel like I would love to go and experience this because honestly the scars of the trauma I suffered never really heal fully, they go a different colour and fade but they never ever go away and it is something that I will always have to work on. If I go on this retreat I not only experience how to heal in a different way but I also get to help others. I get new skills to help other women like me - and there are too many - that suffer in silence. My knowledge base will expand and I will know how I can support others and help turn their lives around to a more manageable one. Like I have

So, I am asking you to please donate whatever you can to help me get to the Haven Retreat, its in America, (I know) so its going to cost me a pretty penny. I have been accepted as a survivor to go, my place is reserved and attend but the dates on offer I cannot make as I have to pay for my travel. I cant do this on my own and, which I am not used to admitting. I normally try and do it all on my own.So please, anything you can give big or small I would be more grateful than I could ever express.
