' I will walk 500 miles!'

The proclaimers we are not, but we are dedicated members of St.Francis nursing home Govan, Glasgow, who are willing to walk around 20miles to help raise funds for the service users activity and entertainment funds. The walk will take place from St.Francis Nursing Home to Loch Lomand on the 7th of July 2018.

The sponsored walk will go towards the activity and entertainment funds of the service users. St.Francis Nursing home takes pride in its well planned and well organised activities within the Home. Each activity or entertainment session is brought about by the preferences of the service users to Promote and Maintain independence. Each Activity or entertainment session is designed to aid each service users Physical and mental wellbeing, provide fun and purpose, Increase physical strength, unlock memories & aid cognitive function, increase communication and enable social interactions.

The home provides a vast amount of different activities from day trips and outings, musical therapy, therapeutic one to one sessions, exercise classes, quizzes and games, live musical entertainment and drama groups and much more.

Providing a large variety of choice to meet each service users needs and preferences is a costly adventure to this is why we need your help. Please donate as little or as much as you can to enable us to ensure the best quality of life for our service users. Social and therapeutic activities are priceless in there benefits.
