On March 01st 2024, our beautiful, kind, loyal friend Karen was given the devastating news no one wants to hear, especially at the age of 43 - " you have inflammatory, triple negative breast cancer"

Karen had a real fight on her hands and embarked on her journey with the strength, grace, determination and bravety of an inspirational warrior.

After 24 weeks of chemotherapy and a masectomy she was given the all clear and prepared to start radiotherapy just before the new year.

Unfortunately, 5 weeks post surgery and just before Christmas, new lumps appeared and her world was turned upside down once again. A scan revealed the cancer is back and has metastasized into her skin and liver.

Anyone who knows Karen, knows she is THE PARTY, the life, the soul, the most positive, caring person and always the loudest in the room.

This is so unfair and we wanted to do anything we can to help our dear friend.

So, on the 01st March 2025, myself and 9 friends - Kelly Cross, Chrissie Cater, Lora Brooks, Gemma Andersonm Jo Davies, Dom McAskill, Leah Jackson, Charlotte McGladdery and Angel Armstrong - are taking on the epic challenge of completing 100k steps - EACH - within 24 hours to raise funds. Collectively we will walk a MILLION steps in 24 hours!

The money raised will help Karen and her family to explore alternative therapies, to help fund travel costs and any supplements she needs to give her the best chance of survival and the best possible quality of life.
