As I am in Australia for my birthday on the 5th of June, I would love to help out an animal sanctuary, and have chosen one in India called Arunachala Animal sanctuary. They have a great team of animal carers who provide veterinary treatment and love for stray and neglected animals. Although they have lots of dogs they take in all kinds of animals. This amounts to money that they desperately need in order to take the best care for our little friends.

Instead of buying cards, paying postage, if you would have had birthday dinner with me or shared drinks etc then instead put that amount towards donating to this cause. Or, if you just really love animals then yes join us in the charity drive!

Here's a little excerpt from their website:
"We're not only reducing the stray dog population in Tiruvannamalai and treating sick and injured animals of all kinds... We're loving them too. Unless animals feel safe and loved, deep healing will not take place. For the animals that stay with us for a brief time, or a long time, it is by far the most important blessing we can give".
