Hi - My name is Sam I live on the Staithes with my family. My father Shaun also lives on the estate.

On Sunday my dads heart stopped for a period of time. Thankfully his heart managed to restart.

This episode has made me realise we do not have a defibrillator closer than redghaugh or the activity centre. As the staithes is a popular walking, running and cycling route I am more aware of the lack of defib. Due to this I have decided I will set up a just giving page and raise funds for a community defib.
