Let's Talk, Stansted! - supporting mental health in the local community
Mental health is a growing problem around the world and the financial difficulties and social isolation some individuals are facing have been further amplified by COVID-19.
A group of us were moved to do something positive in our community after hearing of 3 local residents who recently died through suicide. Our mission is to make a positive difference in the mental health of our community and your kind donations will be used towards the costs of:
- training volunteers to be mental health first aiders, available to listen and chat to anyone who needs to talk and signposting people to sources of help, both local and nationwide
- setting up a range of initiatives for the community, including men's and women's sheds, a gardening group, mindfulness classes etc
