30 Half Marathons in 30 Days!

Seamus Crossan and Stephen Quigley members of STAR Running Club are aiming to run 30 half marathons in 30 days during September, that's 13.1 miles every day for 30 days to raise money to support the important work of Foyle Search and Rescue and the Danny Quigley Fund through Bogside and Brandywell Health forum.

Foyle Search and Rescue are volunteers from the local community who selflessly give up hours of their personal time every week patrolling the river on Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights, engaging with people in distress, maintaining lifebelts and saving lives.

The Danny Quigley Fund provides much-needed one to one counselling services for individuals in the North West as a means to improve their mental health and well-being.The Danny Quigley Fund is supported by Bogside and Brandywell Health Forum who provide a holistic approach to empower, educate and support local communities and their residents to improve their physical and mental health and well-being, allowing them to realise their true potential.

104.8 miles to go. Every mile slightly more painful than the previous one but it's a gift to be out there representing Foyle Search and Rescue and Bogside and Brandywell Health Forum. Please donate ❤️🏃❤️🏃🏼‍♂️

What's the big announcement?? We are coming to the final stretch of 30in30 and we have managed to talk ourselves into finishing the challenge with 7 marathons in 7 days. An extra 91.7 miles over 7 days! A total of 183.4 miles from Saturday 24th September through to Friday 30th September! A total of 484.7 miles on the clock this month that's Derry to Belfast 7 times! This is going to be tough, we have a lot of miles behind us and more in front of us. Your support and donations mean the world to us.
