Starfish KIDS Camp Aberdare is the second of its kind in Wales, serving the children in the local authority of Rhondda Cynon Taff. The camp, run by the charity Starfish Alliance and hosted by Bryn Sion Baptist Church, provides children with a 5 day residential trip where children are treated royally, no matter what their background or trauma.

The mission is to create life changing moments for these children, whilst upholding the values of treating people royally, making moments matter whilst keeping moving forward. The vision is to see every local council in the United Kingdom is served by a Starfish KIDS Camp.

The 5 day residential stay is full of fun activities, such as swimming, assault courses, crafts, a petting zoo, workshops, a talent show, and much more! Each child receives a gift during the week, full of memories of the wonderful time they have had, including a photo album created that week at camp. Many of these children will not celebrate their birthday, so the final night is a great big birthday party with presents, party food and a personalised birthday cake for every child!

We are grateful for each and every donation, however big or small. It all goes toward the camp so that the families or social services do not have to spend a penny.
