We are raising £1,000 to help students from Starting Pointe Ballet cover their costs to attend the Global Dance Open world finals in Birmingham, UK. We appreciate any donation towards our goal.

This year, eight students have qualified as a group, a duet, and several individually, for Global Dance Open 2025, which is an amazing achievement, and we hope you can help to support them in their dance journey.

Cali, Emily B, Emily J, Gracie, Hayla, Holly, Iona, and Isla will perform their group dance in the Senior National/Folklore category with individuals and duet competing in ballet, lyrical, acro, tap, and contemporary.

Starting Pointe Ballet's Young Artist Development Programme is a National associate programme, training dancers from across Scotland in anatomy and safe dance practice, free syllabus classes, vocational RAD Ballet, and Rambert Grades Contemporary. Students also learn from renowned guest teachers in a variety of dance styles, and are offered opportunities to participate in performances and competitions which enhance their performance skills and give invaluable stage experience.

Global Dance Open is a world championship dance event and hosts over 35 countries at the final which takes place from 16th to 20th July 2025. Having attended last years final our students are thrilled to, once again, be part of Team Scotland.
