***UPDATE**
The Good News Group completed their walk on Sunday. Some photos of the group. Thank you to everyone for your support and donations. There is still time to donate. Thank you.

We are the part of the Good News Group (Youth Group) that meet at St. Francis Church, part of the Church of England Parish in Horley, Surrey.
We are going to be taking part in a walk around Earlswood Lakes on Sunday 6th June 2021, to raise money for the repairs that are desperately needed for the spire at St. Bartholomew's in Horley, also part of the Parish.
St. Barts has a steep history dating back 800 years and draws many visitors for historic purpose. To find out more about the history of St. Barts, please visit this link: St. Barts
Currently the wooden shingle tiles of the tower and spire are in a poor condition, particularly on the south and west sides of the church building. There is a fund raising project currently ongoing to raise funds for this, which is going to cost in the region of £500,000.
As the youth in this parish and community we would also like to do our bit to try and raise funds towards this but also raise awareness of the great history connected with the church.
Any amount you can spare towards this repair project will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance from,
Matty, Olamma, Johaan, Nathan, Noah and Megan
