I've raised £15000 to Pay for the restoration of our unique and beautiful stained glass 'Jesus' window

Our beautiful window was designed and built by the monks of Buckfast Abbey and installed in the old St Boniface Church building in 1967. In 2005 the old building was demolished, and the window was removed, stored, and professionally reinstalled into the new modern church building, where it spans both floors. It is made in the dalles de verre style, and the only similar window in the country is in Buckfast Abbey itself. Unfortunately time and the British weather have not been kind, and the window has warped out of shape over its 50 year lifespan. Large pieces of glass are starting to become loose and fall out, which is a major Health and Safety issue, as the hall hosts a very successful preschool during term time, and falling pieces of glass could easily injure a child. The window has been made safe by the fitting of a perspex cover both inside and out, but it is in desperate need of specialist restoration before it becomes beyond economic repair. Many members of our congregation have very happy memories of fundraising activities they took part in to raise the funds for the window in the late 1960s, and the loss of the window would be devastating for them. It is an important part of our local heritage, as well as being a beautiful and inspiring piece of art, and we dont want to lose it for ever. We are all working hard to raise the money we need to have our window professionally restored - but we need your help!
