Steeton & Eastburn Christmas Lights Group

It is now 6 years since we began to relight Steeton and Eastburn during the run up to Christmas. We have got bigger and brighter each year, but this year due to Covid-19 the Steeton and Eastburn Christmas Lights Group have been unable to carry out our usual fundraising events this year. Despite this, we are still working hard to ensure that we bring much needed sparkle to our villages with our Christmas Lights. This years ‘Switch-On’ will be on Sunday 29 November at 4.30pm and will be done remotely but we are encouraging you to switch on your own festive lights at the same time and #LightUpSteeton&Eastburn

As we are unable to have face-to-face fundraising, we are promoting this page as a way for our local community to show its support for the Christmas lights. It costs thousands of pounds each year for the small voluntary group to ensure the Christmas lights sparkle throughout the festive period. With little or no funds coming in this year we may struggle to light up the villages in 2021.
