Hi, I’m Stefan and I have set this page to try and get the money together for a new manual wheelchair,

I have metatropic dysplasia which is an extremely rare chromosome defect that affects my limbs, my back and my neck,

I ordinarily wouldn’t ask for help and I have always tried to deal with issues myself however my current manual wheelchair is 9 years old and is falling apart but it has been used everyday of my life so it’s had a good run, the issue I have is I don’t have the money to buy a new wheelchair the quote I got for one was £2681

I live on benefits and am deemed unable to work so you can imagine saving that amount of money would take a lot of time to get together and I am going to need to get a new one as soon as I can as I don’t think my current chair will last a year, I can get a voucher from the NHS but this will take anything from 12-18 months and I just don't see my chair lasting that long plus I would still have to find the excess. Not only that I have had a lot of trouble trying to find charities to help since I have become an adult there were many when I was a child but the only ones I have found as an adult either location based or focus on a specific disability thats great but I have a rare condition so no charities exist. I have also raised £500 on a Gofundme and I intend to donate any money left after buying the wheelchair to the pilgrims hospice in Ashford as they have looked after two people who were very dear to me in their final days.

My thought process is if 3000 people are able to give £1 I will reach my target so I hope you can help
