Story
Paralympic Finalist Ryan Crouch is 22 years of age.and has mild Cerebral Palsy. He has been competitively swimming since the age of 11. Ryans dream may have to end due to no funding.
The last 4 years have been a tough ride for Ryan as he has had seizures in 2012 and again in December 2014, where he was advised by Consultants to stop swimming. Its in his blood and I can never see him giving up.
He is also a Swim Coach and has been for the last 5 years. He teaches able bodied and disabled children and thoroughly enjoys giving something back.
After his 2nd bout of seizures he walked away from swimming for about 5 months but missed it too much and then decided to coach himself which he has done for the last 18 months.
Ryan qualified for the Paralympic Games in Rio this year and even managed to make his first major final in the 50m Freestyle.
He also won 2 gold Medals at the Cerebral Palsy World Games in 2015 and has won numerous medals at other competitions.
Ryan recently learned that he would not be funded on a programme because he coaches himself which he has found really hard to understand. He is ranked 8th in the World, 5th in Europe and 2nd in Great Britain.
He really wants to continue his dream and make the World Games in Mexico next year, but to do this he needs help with funding for Accommodation, Race Entry Fees, Nutrition Bars, Racing Suits and Travel.
Please help us in trying to raise £10,000.00 to support such a young determined Essex Athlete to continue his dream of representing Great Britain at the next Paralympic Games in Tokio 2020.
Thank you for your generosity.
