So... this is something I never thought I'd do.

A little backstory...

I'm Stefanie, and I have until 10th May 2027 to get my husband debt free before his 40th birthday.

A year ago I started sharing our journey on TikTok, and what a year it's been. Together we've paid off over £25,000 of debt, transformed our dangerous garden into somewhere our kids can actually play (we moved into an old drug house, and the garden was full of broken glass, sharp metal, old phones and drug paraphernalia), built a computer, created a home office, and somehow built the kindest community I could ever have imagined. I can never thank you all enough. 💜

Why am I doing this?

Because my husband is genuinely one of the best people I know. He's my best friend, my sweet cheese, my good-time boi... Hes the best dad to our kids and him with them genuinely heals something in me. And through every difficult moment in my life, he's been my rock.

I want to make it perfectly clear, this debt isn't just his—it's ours. We got into it in the most boring way possible: we were simply trying to survive after I had an extended hospital stay. He carried that weight without complaining, worked incredibly hard 12 hour days, and quietly worried every single month about making ends meet.

When I asked what he wanted for his 40th birthday, he didn't ask for a holiday or a fancy present.

He just said, "To be debt free."

That broke my heart.

So I started TikTok and kept it secret... for about four weeks. Then he sat me down because, after 17 years together, we firmly believe in no spoilers, but also no secrets. I wasn't about to change that over a birthday surprise.

There are still surprises though. He doesn't know how much debt is left. He doesn't know we've grown to my favourite number (because I'm clearly very mature)... 69,000 followers. And he definitely doesn't know about the relaxing holiday waiting for him.

This journey has been one of the most rewarding things I've ever done, but also one of the hardest. Recently, life has thrown us a few curveballs. My mental health has taken a hit, my physical health isn't great, and our household income has dropped. Trying to keep up with social media while worrying about everything else has been overwhelming at times.

That's why I'm here.

I'm still determined to get my Teddy Bear hubby debt free before he turns 40. I'm still determined to build a better future for our kids. And I still dream of making social media my full-time job.
