Story
Hi I am Stella, a student at the University of Oxford! This summer, I'm on a mission to raise £1,000 to support educating and empowering youth on sustainability. This initiative is crucial as we face pressing challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss, and poverty, including violations of children's rights. I'm thrilled to be part of this challenge, supporting a group of brilliant high schoolers whom I have the privilege of mentoring! Your support – whether through donations or spreading the word – would mean the world.
To contribute to this cause, I have pledged to cycle 100km along the beautiful Han river cycling route in Seoul this summer. I am excited to invite family members and friends to join me on this journey, and I will keep you updated on my progress throughout the journey!
This cycling challenge is part of a bigger campaign: the GYC 1,000km challenge—a global movement where young people commit to walking, running, cycling or paddling 1,000km collectively, raising funds and awareness for climate action!
All funds raised will go directly to the Global Youth Council on Science, Law and Sustainability and the UNEP World Conservation Monitoring Centre, who are working to promote youth, promote education about sustainability solutions and mobilise science to protect nature.
Thank you so much for taking the time to learn about our mission, and I hope you help support a new generation of environmental leaders.
With gratitude,
Stella
